"Ian quickly identified the cause of my calf and knee pain and offered excellent advice to help reduce it. We looked at ways to prevent it from happening again and now I understand the underlying problem. I only wish I had seen him sooner!"

Pain in the feet, legs and back is difficult to identify and treat. There are so many joints and muscles doing different jobs at different stages of walking or your running gait, one third of all the bones in your body are in your feet Because you stand, walk and run on your feet and legs all day, every day , finding the underlying cause of the problem will require specialist knowledge and assessment . Until the root cause is established you will continually be at risk of injury, discomfort, time off work, and interference into your daily activities.
We specialise in the identification and treatment of pain and assess your pain risk level, as a result of the way your joints and muscles work, your Biomechanics. Help yourself to become pain free, with a no obligation risk assessment.
Initial Consultation
Are you suffering pain or discomfort in your lower limbs? Do you have a seemingly unexplainable recurring injury? Book an appointment with one of our expert clinicians for an immediate assessment of your condition where your condition will be explained to you and the best cause of treatment discussed and planned with you.
Injury risk and footwear screening
An initial biomechanical screening will help to identify your risk of injury. Lower limb related problems, as with many other bodily issues may run in your family, for example bunions or arthritic knees. A screening can help to diagnose the problem before it can cause you pain. Highly recommended if you are about to take up a new sport, heavily increase your activity level or know of family related conditions.
Using clinical assessment and foot scanning technology Ian Sadler has consulted on studies with the British Military to identify key lower limb risk indicators. Preventative action can be taken as a result of these in-depth assessments. His expertise in this area also means he can prescribe the exact running or sporting footwear you require, ensuring your performance is not inhibited in any way.

A note about running shoes
It is essential that you use the correct footwear for walking, running and playing any sport. This will help to protect your feet and minimise your risk of injury. There are several methods of picking the correct running shoe. One of the oldest and most used is the wet foot test. However, recent research suggest that choosing your footwear based on your foot shape and arch height alone has little influence on your injury risk. This method does seem to be rigidly entranced in running doctrine. Realistically no one piece of information will tell you what your appropriate footwear should be. Also just videoing your heel rolling in, or not, from behind tells us little about the movements causing the pronation or supination, or at what point or to what degree the pronation is occurring.
We would recommend a biomechanical screening with an expert podiatrist prior to purchasing sports footwear. Your entire biomechanics will be taken into account, not just your pronation and supination but why they are occurring in the first place. You will be given advice about what attributes you require from your footwear to protect you from injury. If you have no current injury we can find the best trainer for you, forever, for less than the cost of one pair of trainers!
