Ian Sadler BSc(Hons) Ch (DPodM) MChS is the principle clinician and has extensive experience in the assessment and treatment of gait and biomechanics related conditions. Ian started his medical career as a medic and paratrooper with the British Army where he dealt with the diagnosis and treatment of traumatic and overuse injuries to the lower limb in many different fields of operation. After leaving the Army Ian studied Podiatry at the University of Huddersfield, specialising in the use of orthotic materials in the rehabilitation of lower limb and back injuries. Since graduating Ian has helped pioneer the use of foot pressure assessment in diagnosis and treatment of foot and lower limb conditions turning it from a purely scientific to a clinical tool to aid the treatment of his patients. Ian is currently a lecturer in the clinical interpretation of gait analysis technology and visiting lecturer at University Campus Suffolk and Easton Collage. Ian also acts as podiatry and biomechanics consultant to UK Gear, the world’s leading supplier of training footwear to the military. During this time Ian has been a tri-athlete and is a keen runner, participating in many local running events.
